Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park and Top of the Falls

You depart early from Kampala or Entebbe and drive north towards Murchison Falls National Park, passing through rural landscapes and local towns. An optional stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary can be arranged for rhino tracking, completing the Big Five experience.

Upon entering the park, you head straight to the Top of the Falls, where the Nile squeezes through a narrow gorge before plunging down with thunderous force. The views are dramatic, and the experience sets the tone for your safari.

You then proceed to your lodge for check-in, relaxation, and dinner.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Nile Boat Safari

You begin the day with an early morning game drive in the northern sector of the park. This area offers excellent wildlife sightings, including lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and several antelope species. The open savannah provides clear views, making it ideal for photography.

After the drive, you return to the lodge for lunch and some rest. In the afternoon, you take a boat safari along the Nile towards the base of Murchison Falls. The riverbanks attract hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and a wide range of birdlife, creating one of the richest wildlife viewing experiences in Uganda.

You end the day back at the lodge with dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Jinja and White Water Rafting

You leave the park early after breakfast and drive towards Jinja, the adventure capital of East Africa and home to the source of the Nile. The journey takes you through central Uganda with scenic countryside views.

On arrival, you prepare for an exciting white water rafting experience on the Nile. Guided by professional rafting teams, you navigate powerful rapids and calmer stretches, offering both thrill and moments to take in the surrounding scenery. Safety briefings and equipment are provided, making the experience suitable even for first-time rafters.

After rafting, you begin your return to Kampala or Entebbe, arriving in the evening.
