Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and Murchison Falls National Park

You depart early from Kampala or Entebbe and drive north towards Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where you can see wild rhinos. You join rangers for a guided rhino tracking experience on foot, moving quietly through the bush as you approach these powerful animals at a safe distance.

After the experience, you continue the journey to Murchison Falls National Park, arriving in the afternoon. You head to the Top of the Falls, where the Nile squeezes through a narrow gorge and crashes down with incredible force. The views are dramatic and unforgettable.

You proceed to your lodge for check-in, relaxation, and dinner.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Nile Boat Safari

You begin the day with an early morning game drive in the northern sector of the park. This area is known for strong wildlife sightings, including lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and a variety of antelope species. The open plains allow for excellent viewing and photography.

After the game drive, you return to the lodge for rest and lunch. In the afternoon, you take a boat safari on the Nile towards the base of Murchison Falls. Along the riverbanks, you encounter large pods of hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, and diverse birdlife.

The boat stops near the base of the falls, offering a powerful perspective of the cascading water from below.

Day 3: Delta Game Drive and Top of the Falls Experience

You head out early for a delta game drive towards the Nile Delta, where the river meets Lake Albert. This region attracts a wide concentration of wildlife and bird species, including the rare shoebill stork. The changing landscapes create a different safari experience compared to the main game tracks.

Later in the day, you revisit or spend more time exploring the Top of the Falls, capturing different angles and appreciating the sheer force of the Nile as it pushes through the narrow gorge.

You return to the lodge for relaxation and your final evening in the park.

Day 4: Return to Kampala or Entebbe
