Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park – Top of the Falls Experience

Your safari begins early in the morning with departure from Kampala or Entebbe. The drive to Murchison Falls National Park takes you through Uganda’s countryside, passing local villages, farmlands, and roadside markets, offering a glimpse into rural life.

You may have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking (optional but highly recommended), adding the chance to see all members of the Big Five in Uganda. After lunch en route, continue northwards towards the park, entering through Kichumbanyobo or Tangi Gate.

Upon arrival, head straight to one of the most dramatic highlights of the safari—the Top of the Falls. Here, the Nile River forces itself through a narrow 7-meter gorge before plunging 43 meters down with thunderous power. The viewpoint offers breathtaking photo opportunities and a chance to feel the mist and raw force of the falls up close.

Later, proceed to your lodge for check-in, dinner, and overnight stay near or inside the park.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive – Return to Kampala/Entebbe

Start the day early with a sunrise game drive in the northern sector of Murchison Falls National Park, widely known for its rich wildlife concentration. This area offers excellent chances to spot lions, elephants, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and if lucky, elusive leopards. The early hours provide the best wildlife activity and photography conditions.

After the game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast and check-out. Begin your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe, enjoying scenic views along the way. You may stop for lunch en route before arriving in the late afternoon or early evening, marking the end of your 2 days Murchison Falls safari adventure.
